First choice for mother and baby families: Why are ceramic heaters safer?

Winter heating is a need for every family, but safety is particularly important for families with infants and young children. Traditional electric heating wire heaters have problems such as high temperature burns, dryness, and oxygen consumption, while portable ceramic heaters are ideal for mother and baby families because of their safety, comfort, and energy saving. It has extremely high heat production efficiency. It can adjust different heating settings. After reaching the set temperature, the heater will automatically turn off. The heater is equipped with a handle for easy carrying.

1. Working principle of ceramic heater

  • Ceramic heating element technology

The core heating element of the ceramic heater is the PTC ceramic heating element (positive temperature coefficient thermistor). Unlike traditional electric heating wires, PTC ceramics have the following characteristics:

Automatic constant temperature: When the temperature rises to the set value, the resistance increases and the heat generation automatically decreases to avoid overheating.

Rapid heating: Hot air can be discharged in 3-5 seconds after power-on, which is more efficient than metal heating elements.

Low surface temperature: The surface temperature of the ceramic heating element is usually controlled below 150℃, which is much lower than the 500℃ of the electric heating wire, reducing the risk of scalding.

  • Working principle process

Cold air intake: The built-in fan draws air into the fuselage.

Ceramic heating: The air flows through the PTC ceramic sheet and is quickly heated.

Warm air output: The heated warm air is blown out through the air outlet to achieve rapid heating.

Due to the self-limiting temperature characteristics of PTC ceramics, even if used for a long time, it will not cause safety hazards due to overheating, which is particularly suitable for maternal and child scenarios.

2. The core advantages of ceramic heaters

High safety, suitable for infants and young children

Anti-scalding design: The outer shell temperature is low, even if the baby accidentally touches it, it will not cause serious burns.

No open flame, no radiation: No infrared or electromagnetic radiation is generated to avoid affecting the health of the baby.

Tip-off power-off: Most products are equipped with an automatic power-off function for tipping to prevent accidental tipping and fire.

Comfortable and non-dry, protecting baby's skin

Gentle air supply: Compared with traditional heaters, the air outlet temperature of ceramic heaters is more uniform, which will not make the indoor air too dry.

Optional humidification function: Some high-end models are equipped with humidification modules to prevent dry skin and respiratory discomfort of babies.

Energy saving and power saving, suitable for long-term use

Automatic power adjustment: PTC ceramics reduce power consumption after reaching the set temperature, saving more than 30% power than ordinary electric heating wires.

Low noise operation: The noise of high-quality ceramic heaters is controlled below 40dB, which does not affect the baby's sleep.

Portable and flexible, meeting various scenarios

Lightweight design: The weight is usually 1-2kg, and it can be easily moved to the bedroom, bathroom or children's room.

Multi-speed adjustment: Supports three-speed switching of low temperature (suitable for baby rooms), medium temperature (daily use), and high temperature (quick heating).

3. Precautions for use

Although ceramic heaters are relatively safe, in order to ensure that mothers and babies can use them safely, you still need to pay attention to the following points:

Correct placement

Keep away from the crib: It is recommended to place it 1 meter away to avoid blowing directly on the baby.

Avoid blocking: Do not pile up flammable materials such as clothes and blankets around the air outlet and air inlet.

Reasonable use time

Avoid 24-hour continuous operation: Long-term use may cause the machine to overheat. It is recommended to stop and rest every 4-6 hours.

With humidity adjustment: If the indoor air is too dry, use a humidifier or place a basin of water to increase the humidity.

Regular cleaning and maintenance

Clean the filter: Check the air inlet filter once a month to prevent dust accumulation from affecting heat dissipation.

Avoid humid environments: Although some products support bathroom use, you still need to pay attention to the waterproof level.
